If you want to enter it in a contest in the future, I wouldn't use HSTs, but deal with the y-seams. I really like doing y-seams. Just don't rush it!

Look into Kaye wood's method of y seams....a bit less 1/4" stops.....

Hi
Look at this in a simpler way...I see 4 blocks joined to make the one block. Those four blocks I would break down into paper pieced sections. Do you have EQ5 (or any version really)? I would draw a block in EQ, and have it print as a paper pieced block...make four smaller blocks, and join to make the full block.

If I can get my EQ to load on this computer...I will try it. Not sure I have anything close to these colors though.
