I bought the Brothers LB6800thrd sewing and embroidery machine....got it today. I don't like it at all...I wanted to make labels. You can not space between names and date. just not thrilled at all...and it very hard to thread. So disappointed!

Well, that just stinks. Maybe with time it will get better. I tend to hate everything new at first.

You can't space? I just bought a brother machine. It's not an embroidery machine, but it does do alphabet stitches. I can space between on it by inserting a _

Take a deep breath and sit down with the manual. Only try one thing at a time. Be patient with yourself and the machine.

If you can return it for another machine, you're in luck.Try using a machine in the store if possible. Good luck.

Just my opinion, but better to return it sooner, rather than later.I'd try it every day for a wk or so,then decide.

Just check out the manual for your machine at:

    http://www.brother-usa.com/ModelDocu...RD_EN_1446.PDF

It says to enter a space enter a "_" (minus the quotation marks of course).

If you decide to send it back, then the best thing would be to go to a dealer and try it out. Having a dealer that can give you one on one instructions is sometimes best.
