I have been dying to do FMQ and have tried just a couple of small things and think to myself - OMG how does anyone ever do this?! I recently got a book called Free-Motion Quilting Made Easy by Eva A. Larkin. Now I have to say I haven't actually tried anything yet, but I've read through the directions and I think she explains things very well. She breaks things down into "quadrants" of a small square with very simple shapes that you can put together and make more complicated looking designs. Just reading it makes me feel a lot more comfortable and feel like it's something that I can actually do now. I'm really excited about trying it. Has anyone ever read/used this book?

I have the book and have played a bit with the patterns. I personally think that her technique would look great on some quilts, but on others I think I would like a design where the quilting motifs flow across the blocks. I do agree that her explanations are very clear and I'm very happy with the book.
