Does anyone use this when doing appliques? Do you like it? It's supposed to protect your iron from the fusible residues. If not, what do you use instead to see thru? :?:

i use it, and it does keep gook of the iron. got mine at quilt show

Bought mine at my LQS and really liked it, but when I took a class from an art quilter she demonstrated that parchment paper for baking works equally well and can be used over and over. Wish I'd known about the parchment paper before I shelled out the loot for the teflon sheet, but I am completely satisfied with the product.

I have one that I have used many times. I hadn't heard about parchment paper, but I am sure it would work well.

I have a teflon sheet and love it. Could have saved money had I known about parchment paper.

Good, I've got that in the cupboard, use it a lot so it's always on hand. You saved me some money. Love this board and all the tip and info sharing.

I have two, I build the applique on one, and lay the other over the top to press the pieces in place :D:D:D

I got mine from a quilt show and love it. And I know of others using parchment paper but the pressing sheet is a one time cost whereas you have to buy more parchment paper.
