I have two also and they are years old. You can build your pattern on them and if you don't get finished in one sitting can fold your pieces up in there. I use parchment paper also but wouldn't want to do without my pressing sheets.

I have one and I use it on a lot of things. It's great for applique but also when you press the interfacing on the back of tee shirts for a tee shirt quilt. The designs on the front of the tee shirt dont melt onto your ironing board cover and the peel off the shirt when you pick them up. I also make my own fusible bias tape and its great for adding the fusible strips on the tape. I use it anytime I use a fusible. I got mine at the LQS and it was a good investment.
