I actually lost a whole quilt worth of blocks!!!. I was making a quilt for a friend's DD's wedding and brought it with me to show her. A couple of days later I went to work on the quilt and the blocks were nowhere to be found. I searched everywhere-for days-nothing. I figured they must have fallen out of the bag somewhere. The wedding was drawing near so I started a new quilt and got it done in time for the big day. Several YEARS later I was sorting through some fabric and there, folded neatly inside a large piece of backing, were the blocks!! I wound up using them for another wedding gift.
