    Default Thread for long arm

What thread do you like for quilting. I have a Pfaff 1800. Having some issues with tension.
    Thank you.

I use superior king tut on top and either bottom line or so fine in bobbin.

I use the same as mighty, most of the time. I've been trying a few others, but so far this is my favorite combo.

Yep, I do like mighty, though I don't always use BottomLine for the bobbin but will use the same as the top thread. It all depends on the quilt and the back.

i love the machine quilting threads from connecting threads- Essential Pro
i also like the machine quilting threads from Atlanta Thread Company- especially the variegated
i when possible use the same thread top & bottom- it really cuts down on tension issues if the thread s are (equal)
when not possible i use bottom line in the bobbin- or something comparable to the thread i'm using on top.

I use fil tec glideon top and bobbin and have never had a problem. I really like the sheen the glide thread has.

I've used King Tut, Signature, Yli and MonoPoly, and Omni. I like them all. Although King Tut is my favorite, but expensive.

I think some machines are picky. My machine does not like Superior Rainbow. I have a friend with a Homesteader who says the only thread her machine likes is King Tut. I've read of other quilters who have discovered the same thing. As far as I can tell (not that I've ever actually focused on this) there doesn't seem to be any one thread that pops up as being the best for all machines.

I use whatever I want. I meticulously adjust the tension on the bobbin. I use a scrap and sew on the edge to adjust the top tension and then I am ready. I do now know approximately how much to adjust the top tension when I change weights/brands of threads. I have used everything from King Tut to Coats and Clark and everything in between.
