I am binding a lap sized quilt 46x60 ish and I need to know... how long should it take me to do the binding?

This is the first quilt that I have put binding on, I have been working on this for a few hours... maybe about 3. I am about 3/4 of the way done, but I was wondering if it always takes this long or am I doing something wrong?

It takes me awhile. Probably about the same as you're doing.

It does take a while... well worth it though since it is the finishing touch!

I've never done it all in one stretch. I've usually done it in bits and pieces over several days.

Thanks everyone!

It makes me feel better to know that I am not working at a snails pace. I felt for sure that I was just slow. :D

nope takes awhile and just when you think you are close you realize you still have 1/2 way to go! soo been there done that, but love that each stitch is one less to completion.

It took me almost a month ... but then I have physical limitations when it comes to hand sewing.

Sounds like you're doing well to me.

I take my time when I hand sew the binding down. It is my favorite part of doing the quilt.

LOL

I did that the first night... I sewed for about an hour and then I realized that I was not even a third of the way through it. I was so crushed. It has since become a mission to get finished for a show and tell with a local quilting friend. I have about 65 more inches to go!!!!
