    Default todays.... quilting articles 3/3 edition

    what am I missing on making a baby quilt it say 1 1/4 yrd make 2 sqrs sandwich the quilt mark an x and pin from the center I get that far but lost at the part of folding up the back how can you fold it if it is pin?     They are using the "backing" for the binding. One of your squares needs to be about an inch and half bigger all the way around. So decide which fabric is for the back, thus the binding, and make sure it is the larger. This link should help. In this tutorial the pieced top would be your top fabric.

    It did sound strange the first time I read it, but I think dakotamaid says it way better. I love the assistance on this board.

    I know this sounds easier but for me doing regular binding is more fun. Then I can choose if I want bias or not, and which fabric I want to use to highlight both sides of the quilt.
