Dream Angel is specially made to be fire retardant. You can read about it here: http://www.quiltersdreambatting.com/dream-angel.htm Quilters Dream explains it, but it is the only batting I will use for babies, the elderly or wounded warriors - just in case something happens, I don't want to be responsible for them getting burned by melting poly batting! Just google melted poly batting and you'll see some pictures that will show you exactly what will happen if poly batting catches on fire. Or you can do your own test, especially if you have an active quilt guild, especially if there are longarm quilters in the group - gather up as many different kinds of batting as possible and light them on fire. Interesting results!
