Default Two questions :)

First a get to know y'all type. Since I'm new here and still lurking in the background. What is your quilting background noise? Music iPod talk radio etc?
Mine is the walking dead. I have all three seasons on DVD so I pop them in randomly because I know them all by heart and can listen but not pay attention. I tried sons of anarchy but I got too caught up in the show and would stop sewing lol.

Second. I am venturing into the better quality fabrics and just bought a ton of different charm packs. One I snagged the last three of is the princess pack by adornit. It's a will be birthday quilt for my will be two year old. I would love to do a star quilt since I have kona solids on hand that match it. However google hasn't helped me in finding a pattern or way to make the stars using charm packs. Can anyone point me in the right direction or does anyone have another idea? I want to highlight the charm pack fabrics and I'm drawing a blank.

Hope y'all had a great weekend. I'm waiting for bedtime for my Lulu (my 15 mth old daughter) so I can bind my weekend warrior quilt I can't wait to post pics for y'all to see

I usually have the tv on but no particular show. Sometimes I turn animal planet on. because the dogs watch it. All depends on what I'm working on.

Well, without knowing more specifically what kind of star quilt you're looking for, it's kind of hard to suggest a pattern. Here are a few ideas:

I've been checking audiobooks out from the library and listening to them while I quilt.

I listen to audio book mysteries that I check out from the library and download on to my iPad. When I have a boring quilting task to complete, the audio books keep me quilting as I want to know how the book ends and I only listen when I quilt. Best wishes with your charm pack quilt. I love using charm packs! Most of the patterns I have used have been by Jenny Doan.

I usually pop in Harry Potter movies. I've seen them so many times I don't need to watch them, I can listen while I work and know exactly what's going on. I'm a Harry Potter geek. Or classics like Singin' in the Rain, Sleepless in Seattle or Field of Dreams. Love those classics.

Can't help you with patterns, though. I've never made a star quilt. Peckish (Peggi in the real world, and my blog partner!) listed some patterns up above. She loves stars! So I'll default to her.

I have recently discovered classical music! I used to HATE it, but found when I scan my car radio I often stopped it without even realizing it until I'd been listening a few minutes. My TV has a "light" classical music station, and I put that on while I'm quilting. Or old shows that I DVR, like Charlie's Angels, Emergency, etc.
