I back stitch my seams. All my quilts are made to be used, and I mean used a lot!!!!!! I think the back stitch thing is left over from when I learned to sew in high school. Oh well, it works for me.

OK ya'll...I'm still a sewing newbie, so excuse my ignorance...but I was told that when quilting do the short stitch thing as explained above. But as I'm reading this I wonder...do you not trim the thread close at the start and finish...you leave it long, then sew it into the quilt later to hide the thread??? :?

Thank you! I think I posted one, tho these days I'm never sure. Sometimes I think about doing things and what I'm going to say, but then don't actually do them!

Can't call myself a pro, I haven't ever sold a quilt, but I do strive for the best I can manage.
