Hey... all I'm sayin' is if you want an old fashioned marries modern sewing machine (Singer) you ought to see the day's special deal on HSN. It's awesome, even if to just look at. I, myself, have never seen one, but perhaps you all have.

Have seen the pictures...nice enough, I guess, but I'm not terribly impressed. I think for that kind of money I'd rather have a REAL featherweight, and it would actually be less money...and last longer!

Yes, if you do a search it's been discussed quite a bit here.

Here is the link to the FW, very cute but like others have said I rather have the original.

Just my opinion, but this "replica" made in Vietman sewing machine does nothing to "honor" the history of Singer as the ad says. In fact, it is insulting to me.

I appreciate seeing the picture and description though -- I had heard about these, but not seen the specs before.

If I can't have a magnet anywhere near a machine, don't want that machine anywhere near me. Always have a magnet or two around to catch straight pins I flick out of my work while sewing. So, if they are plastic or there is a chance of erasing all the data, guess they ain't for me. Cute little machine though. ELectronic challenged here, would never figure out all them buttons. Give it 50 years and it will be a collectors item.

The featherweight is so much cuter.
