interesting, I rarely pin, but lately I find that those simple things ( that I should have paid attention to in Kindergarden) are making my blocks better. I really don't notice where I pin on a consistent basis, as long as I don't sew over them. All your comments are being noted. One of my 2014 commitments to myself. Pay attention to the basics.

A recent blog/newletter from a Featherweight expert said to pin the way you do so that the paint and decals on these machines didn't get damaged. So you are in good compnay pinning your current way. Especially if you own or get a FW!
