Sorry to bust your bubbles folks, but this petition and many others have been around on the net and in the stores for at least 3 years! Yes, we started here that long ago and it has not helped one bit!

What I was told--CEO of Target went to Wal-Mart and wants Wal-mart to be as 'nice' as Target and compete with them. What the idiot doesn't realize is that Wal-Mart was targeting a different clientèle. I live in metro Phoenix, AZ and there wasn't a WM that wasn't packed at any given time. Now you have to understand I could drive to 4 or 5 stores within a 20 mile trip. Look around the rest of the store and if you have a Target go there and look around and compare the products. They are looking an awful lot alike.

There are other little things that I could only find at WM and they have discontinued those too because of this new an improved store. The only reason some have fabric anymore is because of the volume that they bought over the years.

I was going to say I think this is to late. I signed a pettion about 3 yrs. and our Walmart just closed the fabric dept. within the last couple of months. You know what, we don't go there very often now.

Hi everyone I live in NY and our WM still has tons of fabric still coming in--I was there last week & passed that dept. 2 people waiting for someone to show up to cut some fabric. I joined in & now 3 of us were hollering for help. There were 2 big shopping carts filled with bolts to be put away--Finally lady showed up & said WM not hiring & if anyone goes no replacement. Many of the can shelves are also empty--same thing no help--Freeze on hiring--

Personally, I would never shop at Wallmart. I would find fabric any way I could rather than take business away from independant shops. Beg for scraps if I had to.
