I do wash. If there are problems, I want to deal with them first.

All my quilts are washed and dried as soon as I finish them. I use cold water tide and dry on regular. I mark most of mine and want to make sure the marks come out.

I do not wash any of mine either I do not starch nor glue or any of that stuff. I also inform them how to wash their own quilt.

i always wash mine. I have 2 feline inspectors and i'm always amazed at no matter how careful i am to keep them off of stuff i do for other folks, there is always quite a bit of cat hair in the dryer lint trap.

i also want to catch if anything goes wrong. Since i use cotton batting, the quilt always looks different after washing than before. People don't always understand that.
