What glue can I use to adhere buttons to a quilt permanently
#13
[quote=nursie76]Am making a small wall hanging for my DD to put in her office at college. It calls for some buttons which give it a cool 3-d look. The kit pattern calls for sewing or gluing them on. I tried sewing them on, but the shanks are large and the buttons stick out at odd angles. So, I would like to snip the shanks off and glue them onto the surface. What is a good permanent fabric glue? I know that there is a type that is used to glue fake gemstones and crystals on clothing. Would that work and what is it called. Oh, btw the buttons are plastic. Thanks for any help you can give me.[/quote
