First off I am not a fan of poly batting but am in need of a summer weight batting with as LITTLE loft as possible. I do use Warm and Natural but still wanted something lighter. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You could use flannel, or, for something even lighter, just the top piecing and the backing. You could just tack the with a few stitches, either by hand or machine. Or tie it. Actual design quilting wouldn't show because there isn't anything to puff it up, and isn't really necessary.
