I agree! There for a while I was making a quilt a month for QOV & Project Linus each. Then my knee kinda went nuts & it hurt too much to sew. But it's feeling better & I need to get back to it. I just feel so much better (about buying fabric & not cleaning house... LOL) when I'm contributing. Plus, I can try all kinds of new patterns in doing that..

OK I so do not to read through these responses. As if I need another thing I want to do and add to my list. LOL I really like to make an owl quilt and owl pillow but I think owls are on the way out too.

This thread is messing with my resolution to finish UFO's and WIP and OIAB (objects in art bins)
Recently I found an online store that just sells jelly rolls. I'm like you in two respects... a jelly roll quilt in my future (I can't remember the name of it -- the pattern is buried in my studio someplace -- it's the kinda diagonal stripes one) & this board is messing with my resolution (the one about getting some stuff done -- the one about "no fabric buying until I use some of mine up" is LONG broken... LOL).

and have been having a great time cutting up sheets. No,I don't tear them because of the fuzz that goes up my nose.
But i have had a grand time stitching the l-o-n-g strips together and rolling into balls.
Making rag rugs were the thing to do in years gone by.....a way to us up old clothing and worn sheets.
Getting back to basics is what I call it. Waste not - want not. So the box is about empty and i have some new rugs.

I cant neet or croshea (lol) cant even spell either one.any way I cant because my right hand wont let me. Had to buy a accucut because I cant cut too long with right hand.Any way I need to know how I can make a rug out of fabric.I need one in my family room and I have enough scraps to make one.

I have the 5inch and it is so much fun.I made a wall hanging for a friend who is going home to Tiwain. She has been here for 6months and has to go back.Any way I mad this lil twister for her as a surprise and but hearts and butterflys and a cross and a dove on it.Since it is a wall hanging she wont be able to but it into a washer with the metal I have sewn on it. Every one in our church has signed it.We are giving it to her tomorrow.I want the 10 in twister because I think there might be less work to make a larger quilt. I will see if I can get a picture of it and post it.Never posted yet.dawn

Can't think of anything right now. Locally the jeans quilts seem to be making a comeback though. The ones where you cut squares of jeans, squares of backing and square of thin cotton batting, layer and sew a 1"seam to the outside and clip the seams.

Look up Missouri Star Quilt Company and see You Tube for directions. Only takes 3/4 yd of main fabric, 9 inches of part of trim and 2-3 inches (I like 3) for narrow trim. Fast and easy.
