What would be your perfect sewing day?
As I am sitting here this morning drinking my coffee and lurking on the board here, thinking of all the things I need to catch up on for the weekend, I thought it would be nice to have a perfect sewing day. Daydreaming about finishing some of my UFO's that linger patiently. Then I got to thinking what is a perfect sewing day?
A perfect sewing day for me, starting early with my coffee and staying in my jammies til the mood hits me to get dressed. If it does. No laundry, no cooking, no nothing, maybe a nap to refresh my energy. House to myself, unless my quilter friend comes by. Always happy about that. Staying up real late playing in my sroom and then doing it all over again the next day! Might even have a few minutes to pick up, clean up and sort thru some things, find some things that I couldn't before. Projects being completed by the piles (dreaming there for sure).
so what is your perfect day? How often do you have it?

My perfect day would be very much like yours! Of course someone would be making me my coffee, and lunch and delivering snacks to me as I worked!! My scrappy quilt hand sewing would be completed, I would get a few purses made, and I would have an other top at least sandwiched for quilting..This actually is much like the Virtual Quilting days we have on here..My daughter even makes me snacks etc. on these days !!
This weekend I am letting my daughter have the car for the 2 days so I can get a lot done...last weekend that kept me on task!! HHMM..maybe I can get a lot done!!

Perfect day for me would be:
#1 I wake rested
#2 Wake to a clean house + laundry caught up
#3 Food magically appears when I need it
#4 Cool enough to have all the windows open (I do better sewing/quilting in such conditions)
#5 Enough fabric and batting that I don't have to go look for anything
#6 and what PaperPrincess said... have everyone else in the house occupied elsewhere!
How often does this happen? Rarely
**Hey, a person can dream..

Actually, today will be a perfect sewing day. Got all the housework done yesterday...i won't even tell you how much thread came off floors, furniture, throw rugs...i'm up early, drinking coffee. It's a warm, dark stormy day...perfect sewing weather. I have until 4:00 to stitch away. Now everyone...go forth and have a perfect day!

My perfect quilting day happens every first Sat. of the month. I meet with 6 or 7 of my friends at our Library from 9 to 4. Everyone brings food for a pitch- in, or sometimes we order out. We all bring our sewing machines, ironing boards, cutting matts, and we sew and talk and eat all day. We have been doing this now for 4 years. We have show and tell, and catch up on all the news. I used to work with these ladies, but I have retired, so this is about the only time I see them now. About 3 times a year we take an all day road trip to Quilt Shops in our area.

My perfect sewing day Humm All my seams meet in perfect harmony. All my points are just where they are supposed to be. I have just the right material in my stash for the whole quilt. When I work at a pattern my eyes don't turn the pieces around even after double checking 5 or six times.I truly finish a quilt it in a day. All meals are provided. No interruptions ahhh

I get my perfect sewing days on Saturdays in the fall as DH is glued to college football all day long. He's downstairs, I'm up - so it doesn't even bother me when he gets carried away yelling at the tv (um, I mean coaching the team).
