Default Where is that Teddy Bear?

A few years ago I made a quilted teddy bear from a pattern out of one of my quilt books. The problem is: I can't remember which one; I have many.

The bear was about a foot tall and made out of probably 2-1/2" squares. You sewed them together, quilted them, and then cut out the little bear. It was very simple.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't help you with the name of the book, but so that you won't have to look through all your books, and I understand the time that would take, here's one from Quilter's Cache: http://www.quilterscache.com/T/TeddyBearBlock.html

I'm sorry that I did not make myself clear. It is a teddy bear, not a quilt block.

I found quite a few by googling "patchwork teddy bear pattern", perhaps you could check to see if any of them are what you're looking for.

Another thought: You could probably adapt ANY teddy bear pattern to a quilted one. Just simply do what you stated - sew the squares together, quilt it, then use that "fabric" as the fabric for the teddy.

I'm sure it isn't the one you made previously but I think I have a couple of stuffed bear patterns that I got in a bundle of patterns. I know I will never use them and you are welcome to them if I can find them in that mess I call a sewing room.

This is what I do when I make my quilted stuffed basset hounds. I just piece until I have enought fabric to sandwich and then cut the pieces out, quilt them and sew them together.

Thank you all. I have been thinking like Peckish, and I do think my template is somewhere nearby. Ha!

Blondeslave, I know too well what you are talking about when you referred to your sewing room.

I FOUND IT! It is Quick Quilts from the Heart by Fons and Porter.

I am happy!

It is so frustrating to not being able to find a pattern in a book or a magazine.
