Has anyone made a pet travel kit to carry food, bowls, leash, etc to use for road trips? I could use suggestions to make one as a gift.

No, but I would think that just a tote bag, maybe with the dog's name on it would work...with a pocket on the front for the leash.

What a great idea! If I were going to make one I'd think about features like:

1. A space for a water bottle (if you can do a pocket or strap so the bottle won't fall over that would be great)
2. A small ring somewhere near the top of the interior to hook the leash to (so I don't have to dig around for the hook end)
3. At least one waterproof/resistant compartment, if not the entire interior
4. A spot for plastic baggies for bio cleanup
5. A zippered compartment for treats (to prevent easy access for little noses)
6. Must be machine washable!

Well now you've got me thinking! LOL

I made a large bow tucks for DGD new dog and it works great. We took it with us on vacation last year and it held all his stuff. Now it's an easy way to keep everything in one place.

I love that idea! My son uses an old duffle bag and actually a quite large one because he puts a bag of food in along with water, treats, leash, a toy and a water and a food dish.

I actually know a few people that could use Pet Travel Kits because they travel with theirs (cats and dogs)across the country alot. Got to get busy on this myself.

Wide elastic or Velcro would be great for holding that water bottle upright. D-rings for the leash clip.....now i have to go shopping, again.
