I bought the Quilt Wizard from Joannes with a 50- per cent off coupon. It is VERY easy. I decided I just did not like that type of thing and am glad I found out with such an inexpensive program. I used it a couple of times for paper piecing.

Thank you again. So my computer is old & slow but not old enough . I'll just have to keep looking. At least I didn't pay very much for it & will send it to the thrift store with no regrets. That is 1 good thing about yard sales, usually no regrets if something doesn't work. I will see if anyone might be doing an upgrade & wants to sell the system they have. Thank you again for the help & the tips offered on so many things I find here.

I stopped at EQ6. I only use it now ( and it does a superb job for this) to replicate patterns I've seen to the size I want and calculate the amount of material.

Fun to play with, but remember that the EQ's have a limit of 3 downloads. $3 is better than $160 or whatever EQ goes for today.

The EQ company told me on the 3 download limit this was not so for Version 4 and up, only on the older versions than 4.

Yes, EQ has changed the activation policy. With EQ7, you can activate as many times as you want, but you can only have it active on 2 computers at any one time. I think this policy is very fair and much easier to manage than the old policy.
