Default Your Favorite Sounding Machine

I have 4 sewing machines--a Kenmore 158, a Singer 15-91, a Janome DC 1050, and a Brother LX 2125 (?) that I'm giving my DIL for Christmas.

Part of the joy of sewing is the sound of a machine, don't you think? (Well, in most cases anyway.)

Of the four machines I have, my favorite one to listen to is the old Singer.

What about you? Got a favorite for the sheer sound alone?

I love the sound of mostly any sewing machine (and even like the smell of the oil) but my favorite sound is from the treadle.

My favorites to listen to are my 201-2, my Brother Selectomatic and my Underwood 142b.

I like the 301 singer in the cabinet. Good stitch and it just hums along..can't move it around so i use my new Kenmore.

Featherweights and treadles. Love the features on my Bernina 880 but still prefer the vintage music.

I love the sound of any machine running! It's a tie between old FW and vintage Kenmore for me.

I love my Bernina 1530 because he hums differently when the bobbin is running out.

I love the vintage machine sounds...... I have several. But, I think my favorite is one of my FWs.... the Singer 127 hand crank is a close second.

My Featherweight for sure!!!!! It just "purrs" and I think that I could sew at the back of a church and nobody would know it.
