My favorite is my 1952 Featherweight. I especially like it right after I have serviced it.

I like both of mine my Singer 2662 and my Singer 401 Slantomatic with the desk cabinet. My Dh wasn't happy when I got the 401 but he used it the next morning before I cleaned it. Said I did good! I know it. It came with 5 cams and other attachments. And the manual!

I am totally weird!!!! I have three machines. I know they make noise, but when I am sewing, I don't really hear the noise. So, now, when I should be doing something totally constructive around here, you guys have me going into my sewing area and listen to the sound of a sewing machines. Now I have to listen to comparisons, which machine is older, which machine doesn't sound right, which machine sews the fastest, which machine sings. That's it! My machines sing! Very simple - very easy. Now I will get out my Label Buddy and put on my sewing machine a little label that says "I sing". I named my machines. The one I am using now is "Shear Pleasure." She is getting a name change - She is now going to be I. Sing! Well, that takes care of my brain work for the day - Have a great day! Mine has just been made!!!!! Edie

I don't know if I have a favorite. Listening to my old Kenmore 158 does take me back a few years since she was my very fist machine. I do know that my youngest daughter has told me more than once that there is no sound in the world as comforting to her as the hum of a sewing machine. Guess what I spent every spare minute doing while she was growing up?

I love the sound of my Bernina Aurora 155. She hums and that is why I bought her.
