Poor little Sophie! Great she didn't have cancer. That's a nice, neat, tight stitching job. Looks good. Will you be able to snip that out yourself later? Hope Sophie heals fast and feels better soon.
I had a Sophie dog too! She was a German Shorthair Pointer.

Jaba... I came across these stockings again...they are so cute. Really like how you made them different colors. Love the cuff too. Did you line them also?
Birthday ladies, just enjoy your B-day month, save 'em or open 'em...it's totally up to you! Do whatever makes you happy. I waited until my b-day but I think it would be pretty special to open one a day, etc. It's like a month long b-day
Barb, I want to take your stockings to Florida with me so finished them today. I will keep track and see if you make your cuff different than what I did. Hope you don't mind, but love the idea of using 2 1/2" squares and wanted you to know I really made them, so here they are....l Iove 'em!! hope my son, daughter in law and new grand daughter will like them too....

Good evening everyone. It's time to start our QAL!
This is a wall hanging or table runner, your choice. The project will have 9 - 10" blocks. With 2 borders and measure about 40" square when done. Here's a pic.
You will need 100 2 1/2" squares for the corner squares and 64 21/2" for the leaf fabric and 1 yard of background fabric. The pumpkin will take 16 - 2 1/2" orange blocks. And 1 brown or green block for the stem. And 10 blocks for background. If you chose, you can use 2 1/2" light squares, instead of 1 color background fabric.
We will start this week in picking out our squares for all of our blocks. Pick more than you need so you can pick and chose as you go along.
Now it's sew time We will be making the pumpkin block this week (or do you own block). If you don't like the pumpkin block, you may choose to make an extra 25 block or leaf, or put in your own 10" block. My suggestion for all blocks is to lay out the squares and decide where you want your squares before you sew. I took a pic before I sewed my pieces and then had a pattern to follow.
- Starting with the orange pieces lay them out in a placement that pleases you. See pic 3.
- Based on your background square ( 2 1/2" square) draw a line as shown. Pic 2. Lay this squared on one of your corner orange squares. Right sides together. You are making a 1/2 square block. Sew on this line & 1/4" inch away from line & cut off excess fabric. Iron 1/2 block and place back in place of your layout paying attention to direction of angle. I sewed my pumpkin into 4 four patches and sewed them together.
- next we need to make your stem. I suggest you cut out a 2 1/2" square of stem fabric. Take your other 2 background squares and place either side of this place the stem mid way on your pumpkin. Cut this piece to mesure 8 1/2". Now sew this piece to the top of the 16 patch pumpkins 🎃 now all you have to do is sew the 5 blackground blocks together and sew that to the side of the pumpkin 🎃. This should complete your pumpkin block. Easy as pie.
That's all for this week. I hope my directions makes sense.
Happy sewing everyone.
