April - Boom 18
#1331
Janice, my blocks went into the mail this morning, headed your way. March and April's are on the way to you. Emailing tracking number to you shortly.
Thanks everyone for Sara's beautiful blocks. She's going to love her quilt. I'm going to do it by Sewbiz's QAYG method, so when I get the March blocks, I can start on them. I love this way of doing them. I think I'm just as excited as Sara, looking forward to this quilt. I already have some cream mottled flannel, washed and cut, for the backing and the back sashing strips.
Please continue posting those gorgeous pictures. I've gotta' have something to help curb my block addiction. There, I said it out loud! Boom on, Ladies, Boom on!

I got 2 regular blocks done and an extra for LJ . One if for Traveling Gramma , Libster and the extra for LJ. The pattern for TG is one of my favorites to make! I think I have 4-5 more to make for this group.

Joan I love your blocks. Such crisp points. I have a very beginner quilter, Sara who comes over once or twice a month and I'm helping her on the Craftsy 2012 BOM. All her other blocks have turned out well except for the block with points that match. We were both commiserating on how difficult it is to get points to match.
I'm adding hand embroidery to your block now. It's turning out well. I did about 1/4 of what I'm going to do while I was watching a star trek movie, that I'd already seen, with my son and husband. Listening to their comments was fun.

Got two cut and sewn -
Francie - was not sure what to do with you butterflies until I found this pale yellow and blue and went for this.
Jaba- this knot block let me use as much as I could with your beautiful fabric.
now to rework the space block !
