I just replied to the survey. I haven't been checking in.

I just want to remind people that if you tie the swap to the number of participants, then you have to wait for close of the sign ups to buy and/or cut your fabric. (what if you want to buy online?) I have participated in a swap like that and to me, it's a pain, because there was only 1 week between the close of the sign up and when it was due (and usually people are late, which is frustrating to me - as I'm one of those on time people). If you give more time between the close of sign ups and due date, how would that affect the situation? Would people be frustrated by the wait?

I don't have answers - just asking questions. I've been swapping less than a year, so don't have experience with all the different options.
