There is two different sizes in the package and it's really easy to do… you fuse two pieces of fabric together, wrong sides together… then you fold em along a line where you want the centers of the diamonds to line up… and you place the ruler up against the fabric and use rotary cutter to cut in the slices in the ruler… and afterwards you unfold the lil diamondy things down and overlap em and use a glue stick to tack them down until you stitch em. Then you place another fabric behind, which peeks through the gaps… if you are putting it in a quilt you can use whatever you want, but for a bookmark or something where this last fabric will also be the BACK… you want a solid or batik or something that is the same on both sides of the fabric. There are good instructions with the rulers too… really easy to do!! It was a fast and fun projects. I did everything except the stitching (cuz I waited til I got home for that - wanted a specific fancy stitch on one of my machines) … but anyways… had the top all prepared in about 2 hours and there was a bunch of us there so things went slowly.

Wow Vita seems pretty easy. 2 hours huh? Maybe I will get one and try it. It would be a pretty design on a small bag or even a tote.

Just a little info for those that might be interested, but a couple years
ago Tartan posted a tutorial for making a bookmark like the one in the
pictures.

Here is a LINK if anyone wants to check it out. Oh and the ONLY reason
I could provide this link is because I had it bookmarked for future reference.

I received a nice package from psychomomquilter yesterday. This is the first time I've had a chance to post a picture. She included a large pc and a smaller pc plus 2 pieces of fabric some candy and other goodies. Thank you so much Mary.

I received a lovely and very generous package from Lawsonmugs. She really outdid herself with a neat chair pincushion that has a hidden compartment in the seat, a ceramic shoe that could be used as a pincushion since she put ribbon covered styrofoam "peanuts" down the center, a wonderful Valentines mug rug, truffles, gorgeous sewing machine earrings, and fancy pins. Everything was packed in Valentine themes boxes. It is a wonderful package -- thank you, Mary.

What a lovely swap you got, BFBat! I love the chair pin cushion and all of the little goodies you got. I think you could even use the shoe with the ribbon covered peanuts for a ring holder! Great gifts, Mary!

I received mine from cheesehead today too! She says this is the first ones she has ever made, I told her that her embroidery machine and she do beautiful work together. These are absolutely stunning! The pins to match and awesome FQ's which definitely will be put to use, machine needles I can always use and candy for the sweet tooth. Jan you really outdid yourself and I thank you so much. They are just beautiful!!!!!!

Here are photos of the adorable swap I got from Cuppy. She made me a lovely pin cushion out of gorgeous valentine fabric with an botanical/antique feel to it. Very simple, but I love it to pieces. Can you spy the little Dutch girl with the heart?

She also made me the cutest critter needle case! Cuppy, is it a bunny or a kitty? I think it is a bunny.....my kids all claim her to be a kitty. She is just the cutest thing! Did you create her? I'm crazy about it! Thank you for the needles and pins too.

The green fabrics are perfect for me and are greatly appreciated. Those cute socks were confiscated by my nine year old! The chocolate will happily be forward to one of my upcoming swap partners as I cannot eat it. (I really must put that somewhere more prominent on my swap info!) I will plant the flower seeds in my "Fairy Garden!"

What a sweet and thoughtful swap you sent to me. THANK YOU!
