Everyone who manages swaps, I need your help and feedback

I'm testing a new feature for group activities such as swaps.
It's not meant to replace the topics/posts used for swaps, but instead it can be used to help swap coordinators keep track of who is in the swap and who is supposed to mail what and to whom.
Here is an example I set up:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/group_a....jsp?gracnum=1
This is how it would look to other users. Coordinators will have means of editing that information.
You can create your own test swap here:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/group_activity_create.jsp
After that, you can add some users to your swap (by using the "Add user" filed visible only to the person coordinating the swap) and play around a bit with comments.
I just added a few users off the top of the user list for my test swap. Feel free to do the same.
I'll erase all test swaps later on.
The group activity pages are structured as a grid listing all users who have been added to the swap.
Each user has three corresponding columns which can carry information set by the coordinator.
Private comments are only visible to the coordinator of the swap. This column can be used to keep track of who did what and other user-specific reminders.
Protected column is visible to the coordinator and to the respective user. So coordinators can use it to specify addresses for mailing partners or other information which shouldn't be publicly available.
Public column is visible to everyone. So you can use it for user-specific comments which are meant for everyone else to read.
The complete listing of all swaps will be available here:
http://www.quiltingboard.com/group_activity_list.jsp
Please give it a try and let me know if anything needs to be added or changed.
Hopefully, this will make coordinating swaps easier.

I think it looks like something that would be worth trying out. I really like the top section so that all the vital info is easiliy seen.

OMG!
i love it. its very similar to a spreadsheet i've been using to keep track of all the Dear Jane stuff.
it would be quite easy to maintain the list - just copy and paste.
i would love to see this implemented.

I will try out a test a little later tonight...I'm checking in the board in between some holiday functions :)
So far though...wow, what a great idea.
Thanks Admin, for being so proactive on this. I think it will be very helpful for all of us who run swaps. It's hard to keep track of people, and this will be an incredible feature. I know I often do things from other computers, and this way, I will be able to manage the swap functions whether I'm at my work computer or a home one...very nice.

I went in and set up a log to keep up with my RR group. It was so easy, and simple to do. No more going back and checking the thread just to make sure. although there are only 6 to keep up with., this would make it so simple. I can see where those who have 50 or more in a swap this would save time and work.
Will this be open to us point people, or just to those hosting the swaps?
