In the near future, I'm going to add automatic notifications.

When a coordinator updates some user's public or protected comments that user will receive a PM with a notice and a link to the activity page. So when you post something for a user, she'll be automatically notified about it.

There won't be any e-mail notifications though. Only the PM. So the next time they visit the board they'll see a new message. But they won't receive an e-mail notice about it as happens with the manually-typed PMs.

Admin...you read my mind! That is exactly what I was going to ask.!

Also...is there anywhere we could change the color of the text...I like to mark my "mailed" in say red...and then "unmailed" in say green...???????

I love this though!

You can use the same tags as in posts to change the appearance of the text.

I added PM notifications, so every time you change public or protected comments for someone, the respective user is going to get a PM informing them about it. Notifications are not sent when you modify private comments.

If you uncheck the "notify" checkbox, then a notification is not going to be sent. So if you added comments for some user, and a minute later you realized that you need to correct something, then you can uncheck that box to make sure the user doesn't get multiple notifications from you.

Thanks Admin.

Just to make sure...I don't think that anyone can post on the thread except the person who is coordinating...but is it possible for people to post a comment by their own name...like when they mailed or recieved...or will we still need to have them send the coordinator an email or pm, then we'll post it?

They would need to PM the coordinator.

This is a great idea. Much like the spreadsheets I am used to keeping! Thanks!
Sincerely,
April
