March 2012 Doll Quilt Swap
#241
Question for those who have participated in a good number of the doll quilt swaps:
Have you seen a doll quilt with a "changeable" component, like a panel or block that buttons on and can be removed? Because that is what I made this time! I love it so much I will need to make a second one to keep, and change the panel a few times a year.
Can't show you all yet- need to have my partner get it and see it first! The changeable part is the size of a potholder, and it is quilted too!

Good Day Mates! I am partnered with Lynnie25 in Aussieland! Love it! She already PM'd me this morning and as soon as I read it I know exactly what I am gonna do for her DQ! Krystyna did you a fantastic job of assigning partners!
I had a little goodie I was suppose to send to Lynnie25 awhile ago but never made it to the mailbox! So Now I can send even more goodies! WhewHoo I am SO excited! Now if 5pm will get here and so I can leave work to get started!

Remind me before next month. I'm so discombobulated today that I can barely remember my own name!

urgodschild2 - glad to "see" you on the board. Hope all is going as well as possible with your daughter.
Jennie Penny - what a neat idea! I can't wait to see your little creation.
As for making a large quilt from multiple small ones - there is a QAYG method that might work. It involves adding sashing between blocks that have already been quilted to their backs. It might be adaptable to go between two DQs without taking away from the original. I have seen it but never done it.
Anyone who has more info about this method - please chime in.
