Thanks Jean
Scrapper, first cut a pc of muslin 13" square. Then her theme is, pick a color series, (as in, several red prints, solid), or whatever color series you might have on hand. You then cut strips different widths and sew from corner to corner. Just make sure you cut strips long enough to hang over edge. When thru trim to 12 1/2". The string blocks can be made to any size, but her's (and mine) are done to finish at 12 1/2".
I have this in my file. Take a look and see if that helps you..any more questions don't hesitate to holler. Hope this link helps you.

Here is the block for April I sent her. She wanted red, white, and blue for a quilt of valor.
I am taking a break for May's Swap, but will continue back soon. I love this swap. I am sorry for the misplaced image below. I don't know how come it come up, and I don't know how to get rid of a pic that says attached image.

OK, CJR, if you will go to Community (at top of page), clk, brings down a list, clk on Groups, click on the left side "Quilting Bee", it brings up the page that has the Themes AND under that is the May Partner list. Your partner is abdconsultant..
Hope that helps..

Hi all,
My April partner cjr and I have exchanged our blocks. She asked me to post the photos for us.
We agreed to swap two block. She sent me the two orange, turquoise and chocolate star blocks, along with a very fun piece of Las Vegas scrap to play with (shame on me, I didn't take a photo of that piece, but trust me, it's a fun piece).
She requested a block that represents traveling the USA and any type of building block. I chose to applique a block with our state bird, the chickadee. The house was just a fun paper pieced block.
Enjoy,
