For my own quilting I use fabrics that "speak to me" and I have several that are shiny or silky, or textured or more modern color combos that aren't cotton or 100 % cotton, I never use these in swaps, just for my own work. Since this is wall hangings I thought it might be more open to using specialty or non-traditional fabrics. The pattern I was considering is more modern and simple, I was thinking of spicing it up w/ quilting. My problem is if I participate I will likely have to make 2 since this pattern really really speaks to me and I will NEED my own in order to put one in a mailing envelope! lol

The first rule of Rhondas' wall hanging swap is, "There are no rules" except for being bigger than a mug rug and smaller than a lap quilt. Use anything you want, be as creative as you want or as conservative as you want.

We are all happy to share ideas and techniques and solve what you may deem to be any problems. Have fun and above all " No Worries".
peace

Kassaundra do whatever your heart desires! I want this swap to be fun and no stress. As Ube says this swap is no rules other than size wise. Anything goes as long as it is related to quilting.

I use to run quilt contests and had people ask me about multi media quilts. I say go for it! We love the new and unique and love to see what everyone's imagination comes up with!!

Hope you have fun with this swap!! Post as many pictures of your progress as you like. We love to see pics and you wont' ruin any surprise because no one knows who gets which wall hanging til the end. I don't even know. So feel free to post away on the pictures!
