Those are both so cute Elisabrat! Super curvy stresses me out when I'm sewing.
I made my first FMQ attempt last night. I was going to just jump in with both feet and do it on this playmat I'm doing. Epic fail doesn't begin to describe it. I ripped it out and am putting a 6-1/2" wide diamond pattern on it instead that I can use a "normal" stitch for on my machine. My machine was pulling the top thread down to the bottom side and leaving big loops of it everywhere, then it hiccuped and I just got mad and tore it all out. I tried tension adjustments on my test piece, and never could get it where I was happy with it. I have a Kenmore 385 sewing machine that my mother bought me as a wedding gift in December 1991, and it was not made with FMQ in mind. At 21 years old, I hate to put a lot into buying new feet if I'm going to end up upgrading before long anyway, which I may do in the spring with my tax refund.
I didn't realize we should be giving clues.
