Well Keptwench, that is too funny. Maybe because you live in "Margaritaville" that is why the calculator is so hard. LOL, just funning you. The kids ask me how to use one of those "scientific" calculators and I say good luck. Give me the adding machine any day.

I have posted a SPOILER alert here....
http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...ml#post4911539

let me know what you think!

QuilterMomma 01-26-2012 11:58 AM

I have my partners quilts all cut out and ready to sew. It took me some time to do the one over again because I changed up the fabrics from the pattern. I added more to it for some different dimension. Having fun working with pastels. Oh yeah, learning so much. May just have to go a little crazy. Ah, I can add some bright on the back can't I. Have to put a little of ourselves into it right?

Jacquie, saw your spoiler and posted there on my thoughts. Gonna be great.

Can we make a quilt without a little of ourselves in it? I know I find myself coming out in everything I design and choose! I am working on a little quilt now and I stepped back to really look at it and thought "that's the same 2 colors I have put together several other times". I will do that without even thinking! It's what makes the world go 'round, I guess.

You do not need to put a little of you into it if you do not want to, I thought you already had by the wonderful colors you have chosen. I already have the backing which should be along the same theme as the top so will be very nice. I think you are going to like it jillnjo. I am excited to get sewing on it, but have to do some more finishing for the end of the month UFO challenges, then in February, you are on the top of the list along with Whigrose. They are out at my desk just waiting and saying work on me please.

Hi everyone!
I just posted over on the Vintage Machines forum about my new-to-me 1920 Singer 66-1 machine and a couple of photos. It's titled Meet Charlee, 1920... go take a peek.

Um, yes, QuilterMomma, it DOES mean your quilt progress was put on hold for a few days. But, but, no really, I will, promise :-)

best,
d

Just checking in here (in case some of you aren't reading the Group page -- http://www.quiltingboard.com/groups/...1-2012-g8.html).

I've received a couple of messages over the last week or so about participants having difficulty connecting with their partner.

If anyone is having trouble with anything related to the swap, please give me a holler.
