Krystyna...love that quilt! Can't wait to see what Buslady has done as well. I love seeing these little quilts. I hope you pick "Spring" for the next quilt...have no idea what to do if you pick "April Fool"! I am off to the quilt shop...I am going to buy myself a present..a 1/4" foot for my little Janome. I have joined a local "Quilting Bee" and I told the ladies I had a really hard time making a consistent 1/4" seam. I was told it is worth the price and if I get it I will never have a problem again. I hope I can come back without any new fabric because the Quilter's of the Bee are having a fabric auction on Apr. 24 and I have seen some really great stuff...I can't wait and am trying not to spend any money until that auction!

Yes! April has an either or theme ... Spring Has Sprung OR April Fool and, funny thing April 1st is our wedding anniversary twice! First in a secular service and then - quite by accident - in Church!

My DH and I were also married on April Fool's Day in 1982. We are still trying to figure out who was the bigger fool.

Well, that's ONE way of looking at it! :D
Actually, my husband celebrated his AA anniversary on that day and later when we met and I went to his 10th anniversary I decided to play a joke on him considering the day. I made a very complicated cake for him -- out of styrofoam and joint compound icing! I made a little plaster figure that was supposed to look like him ... in a plaid shirt with vomit on it ... and there were two paths to follow ... and, of course, the good path led to me! (who was vomitless). He was soooo mad that it wasn't a real cake, hahaha! But we had one hidden in the kitchen of the hall.

So, a couple of years later we got married on that day. I don't think it was intentional, but he got a real cake and was happy! When he was getting ready to convert to Catholicism, we had to get married in the Church first since we were technically living in sin. Well, we had to do it before Holy Week and April 1st was the available day. I should mention that it was my regular Cub Scout meeting night so we had an honor guard of Cub Scouts and a great meeting afterwards with CAKE!

Did he give you a joke ring ... one of the kind that squirts water? Or did you have a buzzer hidden in your hand? Hahahaha!!! Next year will be 25 years for us. We have to plan something fun!

We were both19 and didn't have 2 cents to rub together. His step grandfather gave him a wedding ring, from his second marriage, but the jeweler could not size it in time for the wedding, so DH turned a piece of brass on the metal lathe and made his ring. Of course, before the jeweler got the ring done, the brass had turned his finger green. We didn't realize it was April fool's day until after the ceremony.

Had a nice surprize this morning, my doll quilt from Cuppy arrived. Not only did the quilt arrive but a whole bunch of goodies. My cup runneth over! LOVE the quilt. My family room has old oak antiques and this quilt will find a special place in that room! If I was 6" tall I would just curl up in it and have sweet dreams. Thanks, Cuppy!
