As I mentioned, I found several tutorials for a Granny Square (GS) quilt block. Finding a tute for a Great Granny Square (GGS) was my challenge. The difference being that the GGS has 4 rings (or rounds) where the GS has 3. So I drafted it out and voila!

Starting to feel the bitter sweet excitement of making blocks I have never made before. I loved the last Repeat Boom. I was really glad I participated! I learned so much about making blocks that I may not have chosen to make. Learning to make the Jacob's Ladder pattern was the biggest pay off for me. It makes a beautiful scrappy quilt - (cutting my scraps as I go for my someday quilt For this Boom Swap, I will be putting these finished blocks together with others to finish a Christmas Sampler Quilt.....so......I chose a different block pattern for each of us from Quilters Cache, printed off the instructions and included the complete instructions with the F8s. Nothing more than 2-star rated....no paper piecing patterns. I am packed up and ready to mail F8s!

I am giving everyone until June 30th to sign up and then fabric should be mailed to my by July 8th. Then I will send them out to everyone ASAP. Then you will have to have them mailed back to me by October 15. and I will then return you very own blocks ASAP. Time for you all to make them up for Christmas gifts if that is your plan.
