I am posting here and on the 4th WH thread just in case. Our annual potato and corn festival started up this weekend and my job search is not realizing a lot of results so I was feeling a little blue yesterday. However, I went to the mailbox for our deliveries, and what do I find from Jaba???? The loveliest package with a wonderful note, a bar of hazelnut Milksa chocolate (my FAVORITE) and a fat quarter of quilting tags!!!! It definitely lifted my spirits!!!! Many thanks Jaba!!!!!!!

Hi JNCT14, ube here . Quick ? for you re: your 3rd WH hint. Do you know what a haiku is? Be prepared when you get your 3rd WH. I am working on it right this minute! You are in my thoughts.
Is a potato & corn festival what I think it is?

Jaba, what a nice surprise for J. You rock!

haha yep it is truly a Potato and Corn Fest with vendor booths, tons of fair food, rides, live music and fireworks. The cheerleaders worked the hamburger booth and parked cars as part of our fundraising efforts. They also did 2 exhibitions and were terrific. I worked 12 hours on Saturday on the grill. UGH.

I LOVE haiku - I used to write it when I was young. I find the simplicity and structure to be very soothing.

I posted this in the 4th wall hanging swap in case people are not following this one anymore. Ok so I got my wall hanging from Rhonda's 3rd wall hanging swap from that AWESOME swap angel, Ube Quilting!!! !!! I honestly did not know whether to laugh because it was so cute, or cry because it was so thoughtful!! (so I did both....)
So if you recall, she gave out some sneaky hints - lots of feathers, lots of dots, and a haiku. Here are some pictures of the hanging AND a goodie (which I am selfishly keeping!!!!).

Ube, I am doing a 'jaba' and sending you a thank you in tomorrow's mail! Thrilled is definitely an understatement - thank you SO MUCH!!!!

Okay everyone, here is my angel thank you "Jaba" from JNCT14 All I can say is wow, How wonderful.

The little bird quilt is so happy. I pinned it to the front of another little quilt so I could display it asap after I received it. there is also one of those great golf tee pin keeper which I will use when doing hand sewing on applique and bindings.

This picture shows the great assortment of 2.5" strips that came in the angel package. A great combination of R W&B.
Now I have to find a pattern for them. I am so fortunate and grateful.
