Yvonne, I did not know you are an RN. So am I. We could have our own row robin when this is over if anyone wants to play and start another top. Anyone up for that?

Sounds good right now. Let's see how everyone else feels.

Yvonne, I thought you were my age or so! You sound so young on the phone and then your work. I can't see those stitches!

He, he...I'll be 76 in August but aside from arthritis flareups I feel 30...no joke...if I could just lose about 60 lbs that would probably improve as well!!! Have had both cataracts removed with lens implants and have a great Opthomologist who really gave me a super pair of glasses for close-up work. And thank goodness for "Mary Kay" and a great hair dresser and a dirty mirror !

Mary, sorry you've had all the problems this week. I've had a crazy week also--make that a crazy year so far. One of our managers committed suicide this week, my sister was admitted with congestive heart failure, 2 of my little grandsons have gotten sick, 3 huge deadlines at work, and we're in the middle of switching payroll providers, which means lots more work/learning for me. Hope your MIL is ok now and things slow down for you.

I'm excited to get Yvonne's--I have ideas that I hope will work!
Jane, tracking says delivery is estimated 3/29 for Sherry's quilt.
Everyone, have a blessed Easter.

Barbara, how awful. That sounds horrendous. Could never be an accountant. I do admire your tenacity. No wonder you quilt as a release from all that pressure! Hope your sister and grandsons make a quick and full recovery and your life settles down.

Happy Easter everyone!

If you all are thinking about MAYBE continuing on after our quilts are completed I have a couple of suggestions for you to mull over. Think number one it should be simple and something we all agree on so it can go quickly . These are some of my thoughts.
1. We could do a scrap quilt using an agreed upon pattern. Everyone would do a row and pass it on. Great way to get rid of some of the stash

2. If you go to Youtube.com and type in "The Big Star Quilt-Missouri Quilt Co." and watch the video which is short we could each make 2 or 3 blocks in our own color choices and pass it on getting it back at the end where we could add any additional blocks. As it is,there's is 75"x 100" without borders and only requires 12 blocks total because the blocks are 25" square! It only takes one dark, one light and one background for each block.

Wow, Barbara! Praying your sister and grands are doing better.

Yvonne, you sound like my mamaw. She still walked everywhere until six months before she died. My teen kids were surprised at how old she was because she didn't act it. When my mom died one of her older sisters stayed awhile. My husband asked didn't she have a job. I pointed out she was 72.

I am hoping for those genetics because Mom died at 63. I think staying active is key.

The ocean waves splashed upon my shores yesterday. It is so cute. I like working on different ones.
I just turned 71 on St. Patricks day. I just retired in May of last year. I hope everyone's families get better and stay better.

RN here too! 20 years and counting. So sorry to hear of the suicide. I've dealt with that in my own family. Nothing quite like it.

I would certainly consider doing another row robin. I like Yvonnes' idea. Would also suggest that it be a ROUND robin, not a row robin. At least, for mine, that's what I would like.
