What a precious gift to make the quilt from the wedding dress for a loved one! I love the sewing machine label, unique. I love seeing all the creativity this group has!

Chasezzz that is so pretty! I love that you kept a part of the gown intact and made it into a fan. I can see why your friend's daughter loves it. I am sorry for your loss and hope that doing something so caring and in memory of your friend helped bring you some comfort as well.

Her is a little story just for ya'all..
I made a crazy quilt for my partner and when I was finished I fell in love with it and it matched my bedroom perfectly (I just moved in the house last year)...SO..I just couldn't bring myself to part with it(I know I was being greedy) so I decided to make another as close to the first one as I could..and I did make the second one and it was so very close to the first one that I was happy..I mailed the quilt to her this week, so I am going to post a picture of the quilt I kept and let you see my baby

Kathy, how adorable! I can understand why you wanted to keep it. Love all the little doodads on it.

Alaska Alice sent me a very colorful Crazy lil quilt with farm animals and a Home Run in the middle! It's a very bright and cheerful little quilt and I love it! She also sent me a pretty blue candle mat or small doily and a handmade pincushion. Nice job!

Well, NanaKathy, that lil quilt would have been just perfect for me for the red white and blue June swap! Love all the doodads, but what is that long shiny thing that looks like a needle on the righthand side on the white block. A pretend needle? I'm glad I'm not the only one who would do such a thing as make it and then keep it for myself, haha. I have my red, white and blue for June almost done and have been thinking along those lines but I have trouble making the same thing twice--one reason I would get one end of pillowcase tubing embroidered and then the other end just sat there, duh!

So many lovely quilts. Also love the wedding dress quilt. I have save my daughter's wedding dress for just this purpose one day. When my oldest married, I was freshly divorced. Her gown was beautiful and very expensive for me at the time...but a lovely classic. My youngest girl wanted to wear it for hers, had it slightly modified. Neither wanted it so I stored it away. Some day when I have the confidence to tear it apart and use, along with acquiring more skills...! Take care and have a great weekend.
