Talking about the wrong boat...I sent knitted squares to someone the middle of July and she never received them until last week! They spent a month in a PA mailroom before getting to FL. Who knows what happened after that.

I am sorry so many of you are still waiting would you like me to sing the waiting song, oh what theheck here we go one two three.. We are waiting yes we are, we are waiting oh yes we are for a pin cushion from afar we are waiting.. ok I will stop. All good things come to those who wait right? who ever coined that one never had to wait obviously.

I want to thank the members here who are going to help me put ornaments together for the senior tree. they will love it and I am excited to be working on this. For those who dont know I decided to make a tree for the senior centers tree parade at the low income senior housing. People volunteer to make a tree and then the seniors family and volunteers take them out for an outing in the dining room and they 'parade' around the trees. they love looking at the lights the ornaments and being able reach out and touch them. Its a really nice event they look forward to. We are making some little table decorations for those who cant leave their rooms. I need the help and you guys are amazing. I still need 100 more ornaments so anyone else who might like to jump on the quilting board tree of fame let me know. its us it has to be a famous tree right?

While taking things around the outside of my house in, getting ready for winter, there was package by my front door. I never use that door and there was a package from my angel. "Mary Quilting" sent me the cutiest cup of coffee and donut. Wow, I am so pleased. It was certainly something that I wouldn't take the time to make for myself. I love, love, love, them. Her generousity is greatly appeciated.

Linda I think what you, and everyone are doing is very nice. I would jump in there, but this year with my mom gone since March, my dad is alone, so I hope to get some pretty things made to just sit around or hang up in his living room. He and mom were always big Christmas people, but dad said he doesn't want anything going on this year. We will get together for Thanksgiving, because we always got together before when mom was here, and all brought food, but mom made the best food of everything. We also always got together with them at their house for Christmas too for a big dinner, and then presents, mostly watching the little great grand daughters of mom and dad open presents. But it's just too hard for dad this year, nevertheless, we all will be going by, and taking dad things, and spending time with him. I am going down to see him shortly.

Wow that is really something. Sometimes these things do happen.
