Default getting closer to a sewing studio

the room addition over our garage has been in a WIP during the winter months and I'm happy to say it's getting closer to being done. The flooring was delivered before Easter and I was hoping the floor was going to be installed Friday but the flooring company is backed up. Since we are heading to California today for a two week visit with family and friends, I will just have to wait to see how it looks when I return.

there will be plenty of sunlight and the LED track lights and recessed ceiling lights will be great for wintery days and evenings. There will be doors on the knee wall cubbies once the floor is down.

Thank you to many of the suggestions you shared with me in designing the room. Joanne

That is going to be fantastic and I am sooooo jealous. I still sew on dining room table and have to clear everything up to prepare and eat dinner for 6. Enjoy your new room and I think if I ever had such a lovely room, I would live up there!!

funny you should say that Jordan...my husband is afraid he won't see me again once a longarm machine comes and when a dorm size fridge goes in. But at least he'll know where to find me.

That view is stunning just from what I can see. A pleasant distraction. Like your own retreat.

Wow. You're going to have such a nice space when it's finished. Be sure to show us the pictures then.

That's already a beautiful sewing studio. I love the vaulted ceilings & all the big windows. The color is perfect. Are you going to have a microwave too? Might as well for midnight snacks when you can't sleep & go & sew.

Make sure you have you a phone and a small sofa or a day bed so you can rest after sewing when it's late and you are too tired to safely walk down the stairs. I hope you have a 1/2 bath also. You really need all of the necessities. lol Enjoy many hours of sewing in your beautiful new retreat.
