Flooring for sewing room
I am getting a brand new sewing room and am concerned about what kind of flooring I can use (besides vinyl or tile) that I can use and not have it be scuffed from rolling my chair on it. We are using allure flooring in the rest of the house but I have read in the book that comes with the flooring that you have to have rubber wheels. Can anyone advise please?

I Have Pergo too and love it. I keep a rug under the chair because I am afraid I will fall and don't want the roller to go too fast for me. (I am handicapped and unsteady) It just gleams and is so easy to pick up thread and scraps.

I remodeled my 2 car attached garage when I bought my Gammill Long arm sewing machine. I had a very low nap carpet installed and have not regretted it. It’s been down since 2005 and shows no wear under my 2 chairs and is very easy to clean.

Well, I have painted concrete and do not recommend it. We enclosed the carport and eventually painted the concrete to make cleaning easier. It is easier, but it's not wonderful. So spend the money and go with "real flooring."
