Beautiful! I guess just goes to show, they listen and pay attention more than we realize and often their 'selective hearing' kicks in at the most crucial time.

Even if you don't use the drawers for thread, they are a great depth for storing dozens of other useful things. The cabinet is old and historic (made at a certain time for a certain purpose). It's also in wonderful condition and is a family heirloom. No wonder you call it a jackpot. Does anyone in the family know whether your husband's grandparents ran or worked in a dry goods store?
