I have a space in the back of our basement that is roughly 8.5' X 22'. The front two-thirds of the basement is finished and is what I call the Wreckroom. The back third houses my sewing studio, laundry room, and storage (large freezer, second fridge, and built in cabinets). Since it's in the basement, there is almost no natural light from windows but I do have good light fixtures. I purposely have arranged equipment into a U-shape with so my cutting table at one end and the ironing board at the other, with the sewing machine in the middle. While I could rearrange things to be closer and thus more convenient , this way forces me to move around more from one area to another. I have a great pegboard over the cutting table and a large design wall next to it. I am very blessed!
I do enjoy looking at pictures of sewing rooms and studios on Pinterest, though.

This is my 'new' studio as of Aug 2014 when we moved from New Orleans to Texas. It was the formal living room, hence no closet, so I had to be very creative to get things to fit!
love the room! lots of good ideas here. thanks for sharing.
