What a wonderful view and great spot to sew. Wish I had that view.

Beautiful view, could sit there all day. I can see my back yard when sewing, that is if it isn't a gray day and I just keep the blinds closed.

I would be staring out the window all day and not get too much sewing done, I fear.
Stunning view. What part of the world this??
Thank you for sharing.

I wouldn't leave that spot either but I am not so sure I would get much sewing done !! Scenery is gorgeous. Lucky you.

Northern California coast. This is a little town called Sea Ranch but it's so small it might not even come up on a map. Gualala is the "large" town nearby if you want to Google it. (Pronounced Wah-la-la) I love that area with a passion...it's only about 2 hour drive from home. I feel very very lucky to have such a lovely place so close to home.

Love the view! What type of machine were you using? I've been looking for a small, simple portable machine for vacation, camping, etc.

I actually splurged a bit...it's a Janome 3160QDC. Not a cheap machine but it has all the features I wanted (including scissor cut button, dangit I love that button!) and since my main machine is a Janome I can share all my bobbins. It's not just my portable machine; it's my only free-arm machine so it's also my crafting/mending machine so it stays set up at home too. Sews like a dream, though, and worth every penny! Zero buyer's remorse. I paid $680, with a trade-in discount (before taxes) which seemed steep to me, but it's what I wanted and I'm really glad I have it now that I'm done paying for it!

Afraid I wouldn't have gotten any sewing done because I'd be watching those waves all the time. I can sew at home, but don't see much view from my basement studio! Glad you had a great time.
