I love my Alex cabinet, currently my embroidery machine with the embroidery unit sits on top of the cabinet. (I have a SewEz table for the machine when I want to use it for sewing.) I got drawer spice holders for the thread so I could lay the thread on its side so I can see the colors quickly. My problem is keeping the like colors together. It's too easy when finished just quickly returning them to an empty space (especially when someone else is helping me).

I went to Ikea in New Haven, CT yesterday but did not see them. We're they in the kitchen cabinet section or organization?

I love the variety of cabinets that Ikea has. I have other cabinets years ago and have no room for anymore.

I like the look of that cabinet, but I'd have to make a cover for it. There is no duct work in my house, so fur and dust builds up quickly.

Columbus Ohio is getting a new IKEA on June 7th and I am sure DH is not looking forward to it. Last one I was in was in London, England and I loved it---he was with me and knows how crazy I would have gone if I could have brought stuff home---cannot wait!!!

Nice, I need something like that, but there's no one anywhere close to me.

I finally found the Alex cabinet and have constructed two IKEA storage cabinets for my sewing room in the last two days...along with the Kangaroo Kabinet that was on sale. My sewing room is coming together.
