Berea has a quilt show in August (I don't remember the exact date). It's always a nice one to visit. They don't have a lot of visitors, but there are lots of quilts and they are all over town. Berea is well known for it's arts and crafts and is a great place to visit.

What about the possibility of getting together for lunch or dinner on either the Saturday in ETown or Sat or Sun in Sheperdsville? That way, we could all enjoy the quilt festival and get to meet!

[quote=Ragann63]Okay, guys!! We have been talking about it for almost a year! Let's pick a date and do it!!
Let's go for somewhere central...
Everyone put in your suggestions for places and dates and let's get together before the end of the summer!!
I would prefer a restaurant...lunch on a weekend would probably be the most convenient for those who have to drive. I am thinking a social get together...not a quilting event or show and tell. Those might come later! Let's just meet and talk this time.

Heartland is from 9 to 5 on that Saturday, the 24th. Why don't we all plan to meet somewhere for dinner at 6?
Do we have any ETowners on here who could suggest a place? I'm thinking something like a Golden Corral (variety of food, inexpensive and most of them have a group room.)
Once we pick a place, I will start a new thread and hopefully we will have a pretty large group!

I'm 35 miles from Elizabethtown..they have a ton of good restaurants...and there's a nice quilt shop there too..a date is all that we need and we could notify the restaurant in advance of a number that would be expected to visit
