I am from a neighboring town to Joplin MO. Niece's house was one that was destroyed by the tornado on May 22nd. By the grace of God they are alive. But many other families were not that lucky. I am wanting to make my great niece a new "Babo"...I am needing an easy pattern that won't take much time to complete. I am helping with several organizations right now and my time is limited...............any suggestions.
Or do you know any group that makes crib size quilts and sends to Disaster Area's.

Rail Fence is very quick and easy. You can make it in a day if not too big.

The Linus group in Springfield, MO has sent many quilts to Joplin, and is collecting more to go there too. We had several organizations willing to deliver our quilts with their deliveries - Salvation Army, Convoy of Hope, Ozark's food harvest - to name a few.

Thank you for the information. This is an organization I would like to join. I have just returned to quilting after a few years. A Wonderful woman has offered to mail a quilt to me for Ella. I am learning quilting terms...so I think the word you all use is stash. I will be building my stash and will make up some quilts to donate to them. Our JoAnn's store was in the path of the storm...not sure about out Hobby Lobby yet. If it was hit...I will be going on line when I get the chance. Thank you all!

Try burkfabrics.com (25% off this weekend) or zandsfabrics (15 percent off store) except for the 50% categories.

Around the World with 6-1/2" squares - really fast and easy. Really pretty when finished.
